Terms and Conditions

As an animal charity participating in Petplan’s Commission Scheme you agree to the following terms and conditions as a member of the Scheme:

1. The Scheme is only open to bona fide animal charities rehoming dogs, cats, rabbits or horses which are registered members of the Scheme. Registration is at the sole discretion of Petplan who may refuse to accept anyone as a member of the Scheme at its absolute discretion.


2. You must be resident in the UK and aged 18 years or over.


3. You will use only the promotional materials provided by Petplan and will not vary or alter such material.

5. You will conduct your business at all times in accordance with good industry practice in a way that will not risk damage to Petplan’s brand, reputation or goodwill. In the absence of any other agreement with Petplan, you will only promote the benefits of pet insurance in general and not specifically recommend any Petplan or other pet insurance product.


6. Commission will be awarded subject to the following:
   1. 10% of the premium will be paid by way of commission when a customer takes out a full policy, and then paid again annually when the customer renews that policy each year, as long as the policy is attributed to your charity’s Petplan reference number. This includes customers who convert their 4 weeks free policy to a full policy.
   2. Commission will be paid monthly and a commission statement and cheque will be sent to the contact name and address provided upon registration to the Scheme.


7. You must keep Petplan informed of any changes to your contact details. Petplan will not be responsible for any loss of commission incurred as a result of out of date details.


8. Animal charities with out of date details that have not been updated may be removed from the Scheme and any commission forfeited.


9. In the absence of any other agreement with Petplan, either party is free to terminate this agreement at its absolute discretion by immediate notice in writing or by email to the other party.


10. Petplan will give three months’ notice in writing or by email to each member in the event of termination of the Scheme (with the exception of where a member has a separate contractual arrangement with Petplan where termination shall be in accordance with such agreement).


11. Petplan may decline to award commission and/or remove a member from the Scheme at any time where Petplan has reasonable belief to suspect any breach or attempted breach of the Scheme.


12. In the event of termination for whatever reason you will not be awarded any future commission and you agree to destroy all Petplan promotional materials you may hold.


13. The promoter of the Scheme is Pet Plan Limited whose registered office is at 15 Bishopsgate, London, EC2N 3AR. Pet Plan Limited is a subsidiary of Allianz Insurance plc.

1. By entering into the prize draw or competition, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the following rules.
2. Entry is free and is open to those aged 18 years old or over and proof of identity and age may be required. Use of a false name or address will result in disqualification.
3. All entries must be made by UK residents.
4. All employees of the Allianz UK group, and their respective subsidiaries and associated companies, their immediate families and anyone involved in the promotion of the competition, including any printers and agents, suppliers of the prize and any other companies associated with the competition, are excluded from entry.
5. Only one entry may be made per person. Petplan will disallow duplicate entries where it finds them. Entries made online using methods generated by a script, macro or the use of automated devices will be void.
6. At least one of the judges involved in the review and selection of entries for a competition will be independent of Petplan and the full names of the judges shall be made available on request.
7. Prizes shall be awarded at Petplan’s discretion and if it considers any entrant has acted inappropriately or dishonestly in entering into the prize draw or competition, it reserves the right to refuse to award any prize. No purchase is necessary to claim the prize. Winners will be confirmed by phone, in writing, or by email. If they cannot be contacted Petplan reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant.
8. Petplan may award a prize to the second chosen entry if the prize remains unclaimed after the prize notification is sent.
9. No responsibility is accepted for delayed or mis-transmitted entries.
10. Winners’ names will be made available upon request after the closing date by sending a SAE to: Petplan Marketing, 15 Bishopsgate, London, EC2N 3AR. Petplan also reserves the right to announce winners in the Petplan newsletters once contacted.
11. Prizes are as stated and are subject to availability and any supplier’s terms and conditions. In the event of any prize being unavailable for any reason outside Petplan’s control it reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equal value. Petplan is not responsible for the quality of any goods supplied.
12. Prizes are non-transferable and there is no cash or other alternative. Prizes may be taxable and the winner will be responsible for any tax arising.
13. All prizes will be sent within 30 days of notification as long as valid contact details are provided.
14. Petplan’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into and it reserves the right to amend or alter the terms of the prize draw or competition.
15. Winners will participate in all required publicity and Petplan reserves the right to publish the name and photo of winners in post event publications and on the Petplan website and/or social media sites. Winners will reasonably cooperate with publicity as a result of winning.
16. The promoter of all prizes draws and competitions is Allianz Insurance plc ("Petplan") whose registered office is at 15 Bishopsgate, London, EC2N 3AR. Pet Plan Limited is a subsidiary of Allianz Insurance plc.
17. These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales and any action arising out of these terms shall be litigated in, and only in, the courts of England and Wales, and you hereby agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of those courts and further agree that they are a convenient forum for you.
18. All entries and any copyright subsisting in the entries become and remain the property of Petplan. Contact information about entrants is collected by Petplan in order to contact them about the promotion and where appropriate award prizes.
19. Through entering any prize draw or competition, the entrant consents to us contacting them about our products and services.
